Was dich erwartet

Leitung und Umsetzung von Transformationsprojekten (z.B. Bahntransformation, Logistik, Exportstrategien) im südlichen Afrika
Entwicklung pragmatischer, umsetzungsorientierter Lösungen gemeinsam mit dem Klienten
Direkte Zusammenarbeit mit CEOs, Regierungsvertretern und Entscheidungsträgern
Organisation und Moderation von Workshops, Round Tables und Konsortien
Übernahme von Verantwortung für Impact, nicht nur für PowerPoint-Folien

Dein Profil

2+ Jahre Erfahrung in einer Top-Strategieberatung (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman o.ä.)
Lust, längerfristig an großen Themen zu arbeiten, statt viele kurze Projekte „abzuhaken“
Hands-on-Mentalität, unternehmerisch, pragmatisch, keine Angst vor Verantwortung
Bereitschaft, einen Großteil der Zeit im südlichen Afrika zu verbringen (Umzug nicht erforderlich)
Kein Interesse an starren Prozessen, sondern Freude daran, Strukturen mitzugestalten
Verhandlungssicheres Englisch, weitere Sprachen (Portugiesisch, Französisch, Deutsch) von Vorteil

Compensation

Starting at €80,000 annual salary (including guaranteed bonus) + overperformance & exceptional bonus + profit sharing + client development allowance

About our client

Our client is a boutique consulting firm founded by former McKinsey and Bain consultants who want more: real impact, entrepreneurial freedom, and the opportunity to develop pragmatic solutions that don’t gather dust in a drawer—but are actually implemented. Their projects drive transformation across entire companies and industries in emerging markets, particularly in Southern Africa. They develop and implement strategies that double or triple revenues, supporting clients from the initial idea through to sustainable execution.

You’ll be part of a small, high-caliber team (ex-McKinsey, ex-Bain) working collaboratively and building something new together.
Our client also invests directly in companies over the medium term—allowing you to combine consulting and operational roles and build a broad spectrum of experience.

What to expect

Leading and executing transformation projects (e.g., rail transformation, logistics, export strategies) in Southern Africa
Developing pragmatic, implementation-oriented solutions together with the client
Direct collaboration with CEOs, government officials, and key decision-makers
Organizing and facilitating workshops, round tables, and consortiums
Taking responsibility for real impact—not just PowerPoint slides

Your profile

2+ years of experience at a top strategy consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman, etc.)
Eager to work on long-term, high-impact topics rather than ticking off many short projects
Hands-on mentality, entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and unafraid of responsibility
Willingness to spend a significant portion of your time in Southern Africa (relocation not required)
Not interested in rigid processes, but excited to help shape new structures
Fluent English required; additional languages (Portuguese, French, German) are a plus
