About our client

Our client is a fast-growing, family-owned business based in Oberhaching, south of Munich. The company develops and manufactures technical systems used around the world in production, logistics and retail. Its working environment is shaped by technical expertise, short decision-making paths and a collaborative culture.

In this key leadership role, you will coordinate the technical department and have direct line-management responsibility for a team of around six employees. You will combine leadership and organisation with hands-on work: approximately half your time will be spent coordinating and leading the team, while the other half will involve supporting them with repairs and installations. You will work closely with senior management and the COO.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Coordinate the technical department and provide technical leadership to the technical leads.
Manage a team of around six employees.
Take responsibility for customer projects and coordinate their delivery.
Plan, coordinate and oversee maintenance, servicing and repair work.
Plan and manage staffing requirements, and develop internal processes.
Prepare reports to monitor progress against targets.
Provide hands-on support with repairs and the assembly and installation of our systems.
Work closely with senior management and the COO.

Your profile

You have completed technical vocational training and hold an advanced qualification as a technician or master craftsperson, or you have a degree in a technical discipline.
You have at least five years’ experience in a technical role, including several years in a leadership position.
You have experience leading and managing internal processes.
You are confident using SolidWorks and have a strong interest in software and IT.
You are assertive, able to manage conflict and highly committed.
You have a collaborative, results-oriented leadership style and a confident manner.
You are fluent in German. English skills are an advantage.
